Chief Executive Officer
Speaking at: East England Roadshow - Cambridge - 22 October 2013For 15 years Patrick has operated at senior board level in British, American and Canadian based international businesses manufacturing electro mechanical and control equipment. This has involved generating sales in multiple territories, particularly continental Europe and the Middle East, but also Australasia and the Far East. Throughout this time he has maintained a keen interest in the efficient use of energy, especially in buildings. When the sustainability agenda was still a novelty, Patrick saw the need to generate consumer interest and understanding around household energy consumption. He co-founded his current business in 2006 (Green Energy Options Ltd) which is in the field of consumer engagement, personal energy advice and real time feedback systems for domestic energy use. Working with the energy retail industry, this has involved major research into understanding behaviour change and consumer attitudes and well over a million devices have now been sold by the company. The business, based in Cambridge, employs 40 professional staff and is exporting to Europe with global ambitions. Patrick is a Chartered Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College and an MBA from Cranfield University. He has been MD of four international manufacturing companies. He has been a member of several industry groups and currently sits on the Board of BEAMA as well as the Enterprise Council of the CBI. Together with his wife, Patrick has always maintained a strong interest in the countryside and wildlife and is a keen yachtsman, organising and competing in many international yachting regattas.
