As a regulated Community Interest Company, Warm Wales Cymru Gynnes, bring a community centred approach to economic, social and environmental sustainability. We invest in the communities in which we work and leave a legacy of positive achievements. Whilst others are offering some of these services, we believe that no other Welsh organisation is offering this unique blend of knowledge, expertise, and access to funding, to the housing sector in Wales.
Warm Wales Cymru Gynnes was set up in 2004 and works closely with local authorities and RSL in Wales and South West England, in addition to the private sector to address energy efficiency in homes and fuel poverty.
To date we have delivered:
• Improved energy efficiency to 52,700 Welsh homes
• Delivered over 65,000 measures
• Project managed £9m ARBED Phase 1
• Delivered £5m CESP projects
• Provided 7500 gas connection grants
• Created 100 jobs &1700 training weeks
Warm Wales Cymru Gynnes has worked extensively to retrofit the Welsh housing stock, and has delivered a number of area base schemes. One example of this is the ‘Bringing Warm Homes’ scheme in partnership with Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council which saw the delivery of energy efficiency measures to homes in the area which required full engaged with all stakeholders, to meet the challenging 80% target of householder participation. The schemes success led to the establishment of a second scheme in Wrexham and subsequent joint projects across the Principality. Warm Wales Cymru Gynnes has already delivered over £26 million of investment into Wales, with funding obtained from a range of partners creating energy savings in excess of £52 million.
